Airplane Ears

ABoth ears flatten to the sides like airplane wings — hence the name. Cats often show this when doing something they dislike but are tolerating for now: bathing, nail trimming, being held too long. It's the cat saying “I'm not happy, but I haven't snapped yet.” Ignore this signal and the next step might be a bite or scratch.
