The Cats of Madison Square Garden: Night Walkers of an NYC Landmark
Behind New York's loudest stage, the real long-term residents are cats.

Madison Square Garden is one of the world's most famous venues, having hosted countless NBA finals, championship fights, and legendary concerts. But few visitors know that a colony of resident cats has lived in the building since its earliest days. Officially 'hired' by the venue, they handle rodent control. By day they hide among the gear crates backstage; by night they patrol. Each one has a name and a record. When a show begins, the cats slip from the backstage corridors into the tunnels beneath the stage — having heard the world's loudest cheers. New York is a city built by humans, but in some corners, cats are the true natives.
